The Problem
Clergy manage thousands of members, yet their most critical work—pastoral care—happens in hospitals and homes, far from the office. Pastoral Reach had a web CRM, but the mobile experience was clumsy and unreliable. The client asked us to redesign and rebuild the app from scratch to:
- Modernize the Experience: Replace a legacy interface with a contemporary, intuitive design.
- Restore Reliability: Deliver a stable application that clergy could trust during critical visits.
- Simplify Data Entry: Remove friction so users can easily log visits and notes immediately, without needing a desktop.
The Solution
We executed a complete modernization using Flutter, transforming a legacy tool into a high-performance native app. We focused on consuming the client’s existing APIs to deliver a seamless UI.
- Native Rebuild: We replaced the unstable codebase with a robust Flutter architecture, ensuring a smooth, native experience on iOS and Android.
- Frictionless Workflows: We redesigned the user journey, making it effortless to view member profiles and log interactions while on the go.
- AI Innovation: Building on this foundation, we are now developing a Voice-Activated AI Agent. This feature will allow clergy to create events, assign tasks and draft messages (e.g., "Draft a speedy recovery note") hands-free while driving.
